Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. You will provide HR expertise and ensure alignment with business objectives and the company's core values and culture. You will be a trusted advisor and primary liaison for employees seeking HR guidance, with a focus on the effective and efficient delivery of HR services. In addition, you will be responsible for providing support in the execution of Agnico's annual people processes which includes performance management, salary progressions, succession planning and 9Box, workforce management and the year-end process.
Lead onboarding and offboarding processes, including coordination of training, IT access, payroll, benefits, workspace setup, termination packages, and exit interviews.
Manage employee leaves and transitions, ensuring accurate payroll adjustments, HRIS updates, and smooth reintegration.
Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and generate reports to support business decisions.
Ensure compliance with audit requirements and recommend system/process improvements.
Partner with the Recruitment Hub to facilitate approvals, develop job descriptions, coordinate postings, interview final candidates, and prepare offer letters.
Support succession planning and talent review processes, ensuring data quality and consistency.
Collaborate with Payroll to resolve employee inquiries and ensure accurate processing.
Stay current on ESA and other employment legislation to ensure organizational compliance.
Draft and update HR policies in alignment with legal and organizational changes.
Lead immigration and relocation processes for expatriate employees in Canada and the U.S.
Collaborate with Communications on employee initiatives, events, and organizational updates.
Support responses to employee suggestions with professionalism and discretion.
Provide guidance on HR policies, benefits, and programs across all employee levels.
Lead Head Office recognition programs and support implementation across Canadian divisions.
Manage WSIB cases, including documentation, employee coordination, and accommodation planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field;
5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with strong background in employee relations;
Mining industry experience is considered an asset;
Proficiency in English (French, Spanish or Finnish are considered an asset);
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Proficiency in JDE, Oracle and Success Factors.
Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at the Corporate Office in Toronto, ON. Occasional visits to site may be required.
