The overall mandate of the Marketing Strategy & Transformation team is to partner cross-functionally to define, champion, and drive marketing, customer experience and digital transformation goals in alignment with Manulife strategic objectives. The Strategy & Transformation Analyst is an integral contributor to the Marketing S&T team with the goal to provide the right data and insights at the right time to help stakeholders solve challenging problems.The Analyst is responsible for the research and analysis in support of the delivery of strategic projects. They analyze key business priorities and bring insights to generate actions that create value for the company. The Analyst supports strategic decisions via the thoughtful analysis and presentation of current state, firm strengths/challenges, industry/market trends and competitive research. The Analyst will also optimize planning, data gathering, and reporting tools and processes through automation and standardization to drive efficiency and ensure consistency.The Analyst partners with colleagues across business lines, geographies and value streams to ensure strategic objectives achieve intended outcomes, through thoughtful analysis and clear presentation of results & recommendations.Individual Accountabilities:

  • Partner with Marketing Strategy & Transformation team members to drive special projects in support of Manulife\xe2\x80\x99s transformation and strategic priorities
  • Build best-in-class reporting and analytics to support the strategy and portfolio execution; provide proactive recommendations to drive enhancements across reporting and analytics
  • Maintain ongoing portfolio analytics and commentary for internal stakeholders
  • Partner with the Marketing, Finance, and IT teams to optimize planning, data gathering, and reporting tools and processes through automation and standardization to drive efficiency and ensure consistency
  • Develop ad-hoc reporting, analysis and insights
  • Support ongoing development and reporting of key performance indicators for Marketing
  • Support the governance processes and practices of Manulife
Job Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in business or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in a strategy function (or equivalent) within large multi-national corporation, top tier management consulting, investment banking or similar strategy roles preferred
  • Ability to translate analyses using various mediums to drive recommendations (e.g., dashboards, graphics, summaries, etc.)
  • Skilled in PowerPoint, some experience with Power BI and Excel an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, using sound, independent judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple, conflicting priorities, work through ambiguity, thrive on challenge, and excel in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to interact / influence outside functional boundaries to achieve common goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate working at all levels
  • Motivated to learn and develop new skills

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
