Reporting to the Manager, Manufacturing Account Corporate
, the Costing Analyst - Global, will perform daily, weekly and monthly cost accounting tasks with a greater focus on analysis. This involves month end and year end closing, annual physical inventory and participating in cost roll process with purchasing.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Support key set ups and processes used in different areas of HPS business, checking upload process for accuracy and ensuring correct standard costs for all HPS entities, including international entities.
Reviewing weekly reports to identify and correct any errors prior to month end, monthly analysis, annual physical inventory, year-end closing and audit reporting.
Closing month end manufacturing information for all HPS entities, including international entities, validate posting for production transfers, US sales, open W.I.P. labour distribution and miscellaneous entries.
Working with our ERP system (D365).
Supporting the cost roll and inventory count processes for international entities.
Working with internal teams such as Engineering, Finance, Operations and Auditors to provide information and support.
Provide information and analysis to support operations, while supporting for inventory count and projects.
Support in accurate recording of inventory and cost of sales transactions.
Do you qualify? We are seeking:
Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Business or related Degree
2 to 5 years of related work experience
Professional Accounting Designation (CPA, CMA or CA)
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products
Excellent listening and communication skills
Experience with ERP systems (D365 an asset)
Experience with standard cost in manufacturing environment
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to travel as required
