Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join our Calgary team. This role is a key contributor to the growth and performance of our real estate portfolio, providing accurate financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities. You will work closely with the AVP, Real Estate Investments to support acquisitions, dispositions, financing, valuations, and market research, while also contributing to mortgage administration, portfolio analysis, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

Prepare and analyze operational and financial data across multiple asset classes Support preparation of internal and external reporting packages Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required Support the AVP and finance team with data analysis and portfolio reporting Identify data accuracy issues and recommend process improvements

Transactions & Investment Support

Contribute to acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and other transactions Conduct market research and prepare development pro formas Review commitment letters to ensure accuracy and alignment with negotiated terms

Portfolio Operations

Collaborate with accounting, asset management, development, leasing, and property management teams to gather and validate information Assist in property tax optimization strategies Manage the input, tracking, and maintenance of mortgage files and documentation Prepare and update reports to support real estate finance activities

Qualifications

University degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related field (preferred) Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, or equivalent work-term exposure in financial services, real estate, mortgage administration, or data management Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling Self-starter with the ability to work independently and adapt to change Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Exceptional organizational abilities with strong attention to detail Collaborative mindset, able to support and work effectively within a fast-paced team environment
