Job Description


PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:The Analyst Accessorial Billing & Receivables Management will review and analyze incoming inventory events (asset use/demurrage, switching, special requests, etc.) to progress with timely and accurate accessorial invoicing, dispute resolution and receivables reconciliation across Canada, US & Mexico.POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Execute the end-to-end invoicing process including dispute and receivables reconciliation of the Ancillary Tariff charges in Canada, US and Mexico
  • Ensure accurate accessorial invoicing, adhering to service-level agreements, customer requirements and Tariff policy
  • Ensure timely dispute resolution, including understanding root cause, driving to one-time resolution and responding to Customers in a timely, detailed fashion
  • Ensure timely receivables reconciliation, including leading collaborative Customer sessions to resolve issues
  • Work cross-functionally (Finance, Asset Management, Information Systems, Sales, Operations) and Customers to resolve outstanding, unresolved accessorial invoicing, disputes and receivables
  • Provide detailed and accurate reporting, with value-added analysis, to Senior Leadership
  • Proactively engage upstream and downstream stakeholders to ensure streamlined end-to-end processes (from invoicing to collections)
  • Strict adherence to SOX and Internal Controls
  • Protect CPKC financial integrity and accuracy
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 2 years of equivalent or relevant experience would be considered an asset
  • Post-secondary in finance or business-related discipline
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to drill down to root cause
  • Ability to influence others, self-starter and change agent
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
