What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled
AMC Mathematics teacher
as Parttime to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and the ability to integrate this knowledge with our robotics and technology-focused curriculum.
Responsibilities:
-Deliver engaging and results-driven lessons, focusing on
critical AMC8/10/12
(algebra, geometry, number theory) while incorporating humor and creativity to make math enjoyable and approachable.
-Develop tailored strategies to help students maximize their AMC scores, including problem-solving techniques, time management skills, and focused practice with past AMC problems and mock exams.
-Monitor student progress closely, providing regular feedback and personalized guidance to address weaknesses and boost performance, with the goal of achieving the highest possible scores.
-Foster a supportive and high-expectation learning environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and a love for math, motivating students to excel both in competition and beyond
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
(Proficiency in advanced math topics including algebra, geometry, combinatorics, number theory, and probability.
Experience teaching or tutoring middle/high school math, with
a focus on math competition preparation.)
Familiarity with AMC 8/10/12 formats, question styles, and problem-solving strategies.
Must be able to provide a proven record of students' AMC 8/10/12 scores achieved under your instruction, ideally with high scores or notable competition results.
Ability to efficiently solve and clearly explain complex math problems in an engaging, student-friendly way.
Strong communication skills for delivering feedback, progress updates, and motivating students.
Genuine enthusiasm for mathematics and mentoring young learners.
Patience, adaptability, and a proven ability to help students reach top performance in math competitions.

Job Type:
Part-time positions available for after-school hours on one or two weekdays of your choice, plus
some weekend hours.
Salary:
$30.00 to $50.00 per hour, depends on the past experience and reputation.
