Position Summary
We are looking for an Amazon Key Account Manager based at our Montreal office reporting into the Digital commerce director. This role will be responsible for defining and implementing the E-Retailing strategy for our Amazon in Canada to establish Nespresso as the ultimate in-home coffee proposition across various on-line platforms. As an Amazon Key Account Manager, you will be working on developing digital activities that will drive sales and that will lead to high conversion rates. You will be owning, managing and developing the business relationship with the retailer.
A day in the life of as the Key Account Manager for Amazon:
Establish and lead online sales strategy
Analyse the market to identify opportunities to grow the brand presence on E-retailing.
Providing best-in-class digital customer experience with the retailer, while collaborating with the internal E Business team (Nespresso.com), Trade Marketing, Media performance, Product Marketing
Build the key accounts E-retailing & marketplace strategy in line with Nespresso Canada corporate objectives and HQ Global Trade priorities
Manage Senior relationship with Key Accounts at corporate level and with external Business partners:
Establish Joint Business Plans with strategic key accounts
Develop value propositions to address the needs of each Key Account, nurturing positive and efficient long-term relationship at all levels.
Define activation plans and promotional activities per account, leveraging their own promotional events to win against competition
Secure availability of stocks, through ability to influence ordering process and inventories
Develop and execute plans to increase qualified traffic and conversion
Optimize Nespresso visibility by understanding merchandizing tools, shopper path to purchase and by designing the best activation scheme accordingly
Find opportunities within retailer websites for Nespresso conversion placement and visibilities
Influence Machine Partners to ensure PDP content management to the latest Nespresso standards Category Management, Merchandising and Market Insight
Articulate Machines portfolio strategy on-line by promoting listing the appropriate SKUs per accounts
Lead reporting & analytics
Know and analyse the market, its developments and foresee future trends while understanding consumer, trade and market insights mastering available analytical tools in the market (e.g. New Product Development (NPD) market research, Customer Relationship Manager(CRM)).
Overall Monthly reporting of sell-out, report and follow-up competitors' activities at trade level
What will make you successful?
As the successful candidate, you will be an e-business champion for the brand throughout the organisation so you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. You will already have great knowledge on the eCommerce industry along with strong analytical skills coupled with your highly organised, conscientious approach. Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as is your ability to understand and work within our competitive market. You will also:
Completion of MSc/MA degree in business administration, marketing or computer Science
7+ years of experience in Key Account management, Commercial and/or Partnership Management with proven record managing direct relations with On-line Pure Players (Amazon) and E-retailers.
Experience in Digital Marketing activities including understanding of consumer trends and behaviours in ecommerce.
Experience with distributing products under 3p marketplace model considered a strong asset
Relevant experience in the packaged goods, or household appliance industry would be considered an asset.
Strategic thinker with strong leadership, collaborative/interpersonal skills, analytical skills, project management and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Highly developed organizational, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with expertise presenting to both small and large groups.
Bilingualism in English and French language skills are a requirement, as this position requires collaboration with stakeholders across the Canadian market and/or worldwide.
