Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate baker to join our team. You will be joining the team at Monogram coffee and will be essential to creating the delicious baked goods that are paired with our coffee. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and will be willing to work early mornings. You will be responsible for creating delicious products while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This is a morning baking position that starts at 4am everyday.

Duties

Decorate cakes and pastries to meet customer specifications and enhance visual appeal Prepare various food items according to recipes and quality standards Assist in cooking and baking processes, ensuring consistency and quality in all products Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries Maintain proper food handling practices to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations Package baked goods efficiently for sale or delivery, ensuring presentation meets company standards Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods Keep the kitchen area clean and organized, adhering to food safety protocols

Skills

Proficient in cake decorating techniques with an eye for detail Previous restaurant experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with fast-paced environments Strong food preparation skills, including knowledge of cooking methods and ingredient handling Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patrons Understanding of food handling practices and safety regulations within the kitchen environment Experience in baking various types of goods, from breads to pastries Ability to work well in a team setting while also being self-motivated Familiarity with packaging techniques for baked goods to ensure freshness and quality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
