Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Advancement, the Alumni Engagement Officer will support and guide diverse programming and promotion that will engage stakeholders and enhance participation in the life of the Faculty of Law and its strategic objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and implementing alumni engagement activities that supportstrategic objectives
Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
Promoting financial giving and volunteer service opportunities at the University
Directing the work of alumni volunteers/mentors in defined activities
Conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities
Advising alumni association and their working committees on the development of programs, events and activities
Implementing programs that allow current students and alumni to engage with one another
Updating and maintaining alumni contact information
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
Minimum three (3) years' experience in cultivating relationships with key partners (students, alumni, donors, faculty, staff) in alumni or advancement programming, and in the conceptualization and implementation of diverse alumni programs, fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
Demonstrated experience conceptualizing, organizing and executing multiple projects/events and meeting prescribed deadlines.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing alumni engagement activities.
Experience developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials that support fundraising on print, digital, web and social media platforms.
Demonstrated experience in developing and promoting alumni engagement opportunities to academic units, graduating students, industry partners and alumni.
Experience with fundraising databases and prospect management system
High computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and social media tools
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
Experience directing the work of alumni volunteers/mentors in defined activities
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence and persuade others
Assets (Nonessential):
Familiarity with ARBOR
Experience with Canva, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) or other creative design applications.
Experience with Mailchimp, Survey Monkey or other platforms
Experience with Zoom or other virtual meeting platforms.
