The Alliance Manager is involved in PNI\xe2\x80\x99s commercial Biopharma Services activities and works with leading drug development organizations world-wide to accelerate the development of life-changing therapeutics.

What you\'ll do

  • Serve as a key business point of contact for PNI\xe2\x80\x99s strategic customers to introduce our Biopharma Services program, engage and nurture customer relationships to build and implement on a pipeline of contract service projects.
  • Act as a subject matter expert from technical to business aspects. Develop a deep technical expertise of process challenges across the entire workflow of nanoparticle development with key knowledge in analytical methods development and clinical requirements to support client journey to the clinic.
  • With a deep understanding of manufacturing and development, respond to customers\' technical/ process questions promptly to successfully generate and close opportunities.
  • Nurture pre-sale activities by driving effective and efficient project management to ensure that work packages/statements of work are completed with importance and accuracy.
  • Together with our scientific teams develop proposals and lead the drafting, negotiation, and signing of relevant Biopharma Service contracts to secure project work.
  • Consult and gain credibility with customers on the appropriate solutions to propose when moving between research through clinical.
  • Work closely with PNI and customers\xe2\x80\x99 teams to manage project progress against agreed objectives, timelines and budget. Track, record and effectively communicate project progress to internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Proactively identify issues and develop and implement solutions to remove barriers that hinder project progress. Escalate issues/conflicts as necessary.
  • Engage with existing customers and seek new potential customers via conference calls, customer site visits and scientific conferences.
20% travel expected. * With a deep understanding of manufacturing and development, respond to customers\' technical/ process questions promptly to successfully generate and close opportunities.
  • Manages funnel opportunities daily, while utilizing DBS standard work within SFDC.
  • Actively participate to regional conferences, trade associations, etc with the ability act as a spokesperson or SME where appropriate at such events.
Who you are
  • 3+ years experience in alliance management, project management, drug development or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with prior project and/or alliance management experience.
  • Ph.D. or equivalent experience in a Pharmaceutical, Life Science, or other related discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is desirable.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM is an asset.
  • Self-starter with solid follow through and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • A positive outlook and resilience towards challenging opportunities.
