The Role As an Allergy Supervisor reporting to the Nutritional Services Manager, your role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of children with allergies. Your primary responsibility is to supervise and plan the daily production of allergen meals, snacks and distribution, and establish and enforce allergy management protocols. This includes identifying and understanding different types of allergies prevalent among the children and implementing procedures to prevent cross-contamination and accidental exposure to allergens throughout the food preparation, storage, and serving processes. In addition, as the Allergy Supervisor, you will collaborate with team members to problem solve, recommend solutions to your manager, and provide guidance to enhance and expand the Allergen Production area. You will be hands-on in the production of allergen meals as well, showing confidence and expertise in when you need to be in the production (in any role) and when you should be overseeing, supervising, and working on collaboration and innovation projects. You will also be responsible for supporting and possibly at times leading innovative projects aimed at improving the allergen menu, working closely with various functional roles such as the Menu Specialist, Nutritional Services Manager, and Director of Operations. Your expertise and proactive approach will contribute to the continuous evolution and development of allergy management strategies within Wholesome Kids Catering
Success As a Trusted Partner the Allergen Supervisor will manage the Allergen production team ensuring effective production flows, communication within the broader production team, and safe, quality allergy replacements for all the children we serve. The successful candidate will be able to work shoulder-to-shoulder with team members to resolve issues, recommend solutions to the Nutritional Services Manager, and offer guidance to further evolve and develop and Raise the Bar in the Allergen Production area. The Allergen Supervisor will be a key part in innovation projects to help advance allergen menu innovations and allergen production innovations working alongside the Menu Innovation Specialist, Nutritional Services Manager and Director of Operations.
