Spruit farms Ltd is a growing company and known as a modern, progressive, family atmosphere farm. As a team we are committed to raise high quality pigs in the most efficient and profitable way, with respect for the welfare of the pigs.

The farm is a farrow-to-wean with part finishing hog operation, located near Red Deer and Stettler, Alberta with currently 13 full time employees.

The Red Deer location has 2100 sows with internal production of replacement stock.

In Stettler County Spruit Farms Ltd has an 8500-nursery barn and 7000 finisher spaces on 2 locations East and South of the town of Stettler.
We are currently looking for an all round maintenance person. The vast majority of the work is in Red Deer, but there will be times that the other farms need some maintenance as well.

Your main responsibilities will be to make sure all barn equipment is running as it should.

Your working day will start at 7 am continues till all essential work is done. Usually till 4 pm

We are looking for

- All round maintenance person

- Self motivated

- Some experience in welding, electrical and or basic plumbing preferred

- Some experience in hogs or farm animals would be an asset.

- The willingness to stay on the job until work is done.

- Full time preferred, but part-time welcome
