Overview
This position is responsible for delivering exceptional service in the Dining Room and Lounge, with a strong focus on bartending and evening service. Employees are expected to uphold the company's high standards of hospitality, maintain a professional image, and contribute to a positive guest experience in a dynamic and demanding environment. Serving Duties
Take a la carte orders and serve food and beverages courteously
Maintain cleanliness of dining and lounge areas before and after service
Polish glassware and cutlery; ensure table settings meet fine dining standards
Assist with dishwashing and garbage removal
Support kitchen with dry food rotation and wine room organization
Participate in deep cleaning routines for bar, dining room, great room, and boutique
Bartending Duties
Prepare and serve feature cocktails and apres ski beverages
Pair wines and spirits with menu items; provide tableside wine service
Track guest preferences and contribute to guest history files
Manage liquor, wine, beer, and soft drink inventory (initial, monthly counts, updates)
Prepare pre-shift wine descriptions for service staff
Coordinate with management and service team on guest events and wine requests
General Duties
Attend daily shift briefings and weekly lodge meetings
Uphold dress code and personal hygiene standards
Assist with light housekeeping, boutique, and front desk tasks as needed
Maintain guest confidentiality and provide accurate information about lodge services
Greet guests by name and participate in Saturday pre-dinner guest welcome
Be flexible with scheduling, including down days and spring hours
Additional Responsibilities
Boutique Duties
Maintain inventory and ensure stock room is clean, organized, and items are folded properly.
Coordinate with Lodge Manager on profitability and make recommendations.
Front Desk & Administration Duties
Ensure waivers (liability release forms) are completed and witnessed.
Communicate guest-related housekeeping and maintenance issues promptly.
Perform clerical tasks and maintain a neat and organized front desk area.
Housekeeping Duties
Wash and iron linens; handle light to heavy loads.
Work under time constraints and with cleaning products as needed.
Qualifications
Serving It Right certification (required)
WSET Level 1 or equivalent wine knowledge (preferred)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, POS systems, Sonos)
Second language an asset (German, French, Spanish)
Working Conditions
Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods
Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and water
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 35 lbs regularly
