Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Alarm Technician to join our team. As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing alarm systems for residential and commercial clients. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and attention to detail. Responsibilities:
- Install, program, and test alarm systems, including intrusion detection systems (IDS) and closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems
- Conduct site surveys to determine the best locations for alarm system components
- Troubleshoot and repair alarm system malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance on alarm systems to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Provide training to clients on how to operate and maintain their alarm systems
- Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of low voltage electrical systems
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical diagrams
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in alarm system installation
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues quickly
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Skills:
- Telecommunication skills
- Blueprint reading
- Proficiency in using power tools
- Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems
- Ability to detect and resolve issues with IDS and CCTV systems
- Familiarity with electrical systems
