Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, low voltage installations, and security technology. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of alarm systems, including intrusion detection systems (IDS), closed-circuit television (CCTV), and other security solutions, such as DSC and Honeywell. The Alarm Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their security needs are met while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems, including IDS and CCTV setups. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installations. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various installation tasks. Conduct thorough inspections of existing systems to identify issues or areas for improvement. Collaborate with clients to assess their security needs and provide tailored solutions. Troubleshoot electrical issues related to alarm systems and perform necessary repairs. Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations regarding alarm system installations. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory management.

Requirements

Proven experience in alarm systems work or a related field is essential. Familiarity with low voltage systems and telecommunication technologies is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools safely. Experience in computer networking is a plus for system integration tasks. Knowledge of sensors used in alarm systems is beneficial. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for efficient installations. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
