Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate operations related to airport electrical and airfield lighting facilities.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of runway edge lights, approach lighting, PAPIs, illuminated signs, and apron floodlighting.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and safety inspections in compliance with Transport Canada TP312, ICAO Annex 14, and FAA standards.
Manage photometric testing programs, prepare technical reports, and provide compliance documentation for airport operators and regulators.
Coordinate service contracts for supplies and specialized airport services.
Plan and manage budgets, schedules, and staffing for airport-related operations.
Supervise and provide technical guidance to technicians, subcontractors, and site staff working in secure airport environments.
Prepare and oversee detailed reports, statistics, and operational documentation for clients and regulators.
Employment Requirements
Education:
University degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience:
Several years of management or supervisory experience in facility operations,
preferably in airport or transportation environments
.
Experience working with
major or international airports
is considered a strong asset (e.g., facilities handling high passenger volumes or complex airfield operations).
Demonstrated knowledge of airfield lighting systems, photometric testing, and regulatory compliance (TP312, ICAO, FAA).
Other Requirements:
Ability to work in secure airport environments (RAIC and ROC-A or ability to obtain).
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
