Allied Universal\xc2\xae is hiring a Airport Security Guard. The Airport Security Guard will be responsible for the security and safety of our client\xe2\x80\x99s property and personnel. The Security Guard should know all site-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor and verify Restricted Area Identity Cards (RAICs), ensuring only authorized access to the restricted area
• Monitor all persons leaving a Restricted Area
• Prevent a breach of security by observing entry or re-entry of persons and/or arriving passengers into the Restricted Area (Sterile hold room)
• Immediately advise the Shift Supervisor and AOCC regarding expired, lost, stolen, misprinted, or improperly utilized RAICs, as discovered during Access Control Procedures
• Assist the Local Police Services or any other law enforcement agency as directed
• Reports any suspicious person or persons or any deficiencies with respect to the post, i.e., missing lists, etc.
• Provide surge capacity to any security post (static or mobile) as directed by the site supervisor/manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED, or at least 5 years of verifiable employment history
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
• A valid G license for obtaining required clearances
• Additional licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• No prior experience required
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operators Permit)
• Previous contract security, military, or law enforcement experience
