About the Role
We are hiring a
Full-Time Sheet Metal Technician or Apprentice
for a contract position supporting structural repairs, fabrication, corrosion prevention, and component inspections across our fleet. You'll work directly with experienced AMEs and Crew Chiefs, learning hands-on maintenance procedures in a fast-paced operational environment.
This role is
on-site
, Monday-Friday, full time.
Relocation to the Winnipeg/Selkirk area is required
- our work is hands-on, and we need you in the hangar.

for the right candidate who shows strong skills, professionalism, and a team-focused attitude.
What You'll Do
Assist with sheet metal repairs, modifications, and structural inspections
Fabricate and install aircraft structural components
Follow ATA-coded tasks and technical documentation
Support AMEs during heavy maintenance and special projects
Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces in line with Centric's standards
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Work with integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
What We're Looking For in an Apprentice (Skills & Competencies)
A recent graduate or early-career apprentice should bring most of the following:
Technical Skills
Basic sheet metal fabrication and repair techniques
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and SRMs
Knowledge of corrosion types and prevention
Familiarity with aircraft fasteners, rivets, and structural hardware
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and measurement equipment
Understanding of safety protocols and aircraft ground handling
Comfort working with metals, composites, and bonding agents
Professional Skills
Strong organizational habits
Clear communication and teamwork
Ability to follow processes, documentation, and quality standards
Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to ask questions
A positive, humble attitude - no egos, just learning and doing great work
Ability to work independently once trained
Reliability and punctuality (we operate in an environment where timing matters)
