Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. This is a great career opportunity for the right candidate. This role requires proficiency in using various tools and equipment to ensure the optimal performance of our products and systems. This is a physically demanding position requiring repetitive motions using a manual grinder on propeller blades and candidates must be physically fit and capable of labor intensive work. Automotive body shop experience would be an asset but is not required.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on aircraft propellers to ensure operational efficiency. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to complete assembly tasks. Interpret schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively. Conduct inspections and diagnostics on avionics systems and mechanical components. General grinding of aluminum blades. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to manufacturer and safety protocols. Pick up and deliver propellers to out of town clients within Alberta using company truck. Shop hand and maintenance as needed. Chemically cleaning parts, possible forklift operations (training provided), other duties as required.

Requirements

Mechanically inclined and proficient with hand and power tools. Skilled in basic repairs, maintenance, and tool operation. Career focused and eager to learn, looking for a permanent position within our team with room for advancement. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks associated with the role. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as part of a team. Previous mechanic experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Personal reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required. Please note we are located at the Villeneuve Airport west of Edmonton and east of Spruce Grove and Stony Plain. Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
