Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation and ensure all items are prepared according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, including Micros POS, for processing customer transactions efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas, following food safety guidelines. Support serving staff during busy periods by assisting with food delivery and upselling menu items. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.

Skills

Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in food service or restaurant settings is highly desirable. Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Familiarity with cashiering duties and experience using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when necessary. A keen interest in the food industry, including serving techniques and upselling strategies.
