Role Overview

Symplistic.ai is seeking an

AI Software Developer Co-op

to join our team for an

18-month internship

based at our Canadian headquarters in Woodbridge, Ontario.

In this role, you'll collaborate with our engineers and AI strategists to

design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale AI agents and software integrations

. You'll gain hands-on experience building production-grade AI systems while learning to balance innovation, engineering discipline, and client delivery.

You'll also contribute to the development of Symplistic.ai's proprietary AI Agents -- a key part of our Agentic AI platform.

Key Responsibilities

Co-develop AI agents and internal tools supporting enterprise use cases Implement AI workflows using IBM watsonx, integrated with client systems Contribute across the full project lifecycle: ideation, prototyping, testing, deployment, and iteration Maintain documentation, code quality, and best development practices

Qualifications

Required:

Currently enrolled in a

Bachelor's degree program

in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Some experience in AI/ML systems and/or full-stack software development Proficiency in

Python

and

JavaScript

Familiarity with APIs

, microservices, and enterprise integrations (REST, SQL/NoSQL) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively in technical discussions

Preferred:

Hands-on experience with

IBM watsonx

or comparable AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Groq) Understanding of agent-based systems, workflow orchestration, or active learning pipelines

Eligibility

Must be

enrolled in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program

in Ontario Must be

legally authorized to work in Canada

for the duration of the co-op
