Your Responsibilities



As an Agronomy Intern located in Strathmore, you will work internally with John Deere\xe2\x80\x99s field testing program to explore agronomic hypotheses and concepts that support the development of new equipment innovations. At a high level you will be responsible for in-field data collection and observations, working with internal staff as well as 3rd party collaborators, raw data processing, and performing tasks to ensure trial success.

What Skills You Need



  • Advanced computer skills and familiarity with Office 365 programs.
  • Basic mechanical and electronic hardware knowledge.
  • Good communication skills and comfortable working in a team environment.


What Makes You Stand Out



  • Farming or agricultural experience.
  • Experience with remote sensing metrics applicable to agriculture.
  • Basic photography skills and how to set hardware for success in specific conditions.
  • Any sort of programming language knowledge (Python, Matlab) would be an asset.


Education



Ideally you will be enrolled in a degree/diploma program in the following:
  • Agricultural (Agribusiness, Agronomy, Environmental etc.)
  • Engineering
