About the Unit

The Yara Americas Region comprises the units of Brazil, Latin America and North America with operations in 13 countries and a total of more than 5.000 employees. The Region operates fertilizer production, blending units and terminals, and distributes and markets fertilizers and certain industrial products, reaching a total volume of 18 million tons per year. Yara has a long history in the Americas, and our focus is to develop the Yara Crop Nutrition concept and increase food production, create value to the growers and minimize the environmental impact of agriculture.

Responsibilities

  • The Agronomist, reporting to the Biological Senior Manager, will be the technical/agronomic expert for biologicals in Canada.
  • Regionally support the creation, launch and development of new products and portfolio management activities.
  • Collaborate with all parts of the business, to provide technical support in developing Yara\'s crop solutions ensuring the correct positioning of the Biological portfolio.
  • Coordinating R&D, including trials, protocols, and data analysis in conjunction with Market Development/Product Management for Canada regions.
  • Develop, implement, and communicate local value proposition and positioning for Biological products.
  • Support commercial team to differentiate and defend the value propositions of YaraVita and YaraAmplix products.
  • Map the competitive environment (products, active ingredients, formulations, positioning, value proposition, SWOT analysis.
  • In collaboration with the sales team, carry out post-sales actions/support (quality, field results, etc.) to ensure loyalty and repurchase.
  • Liaison with industry, university & research groups as needed, represent Yara at industry events, technical committees in conjunction with government affairs.
Education, Experience & Skill
  • Agronomy, Plant Physiology or other related Bachelor\'s degree.
  • Masters degree an asset.
  • Ability to communicate in French an asset.
  • Experience in Marketing or commercial background is desired.
  • Previous experience in Agricultural Business, Market Development, Foliar nutrition, Biostimulants, crop nutrition or Agchem market.
  • Availability to travel within the country and occasionally abroad.
