What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do: The Agro Sales Representative is responsible for growing sales and building key customer relationships while meeting budgeted sales volumes, margins, and customer contact targets. Working collaboratively with the Management team, you will:

  • Be responsible for building strong customer relationships, researching, planning and executing on an extensive customer contact program for the Agro department.
  • Participate in marketing discussions alongside the Agro, Equipment and Fuel Managers and apply an expert level of operational knowledge, commodity direction and organizational skills to assist in product and service procurement.
  • Consult with in-house agronomy and supplier experts to deliver innovative solutions to growers.
  • Promote the services and product lines available at the Co-op while adapting to changing market conditions and grower needs.

Who you are: You are looking for a retail career in Agriculture and have a passion for sales. You also have:
  • A grade 12 education. Preference is given to those possessing an Agriculture Degree/Diploma or Certificate from a recognized institution in Agriculture or Agriculture business.
  • Certified Crop Advisor Designation, P.Ag or willing to obtain.
  • Pesticide Dispenser Application certification or willing to obtain.
  • Ability to maintain and grow an extensive customer contact program with current and prospective customers.
  • General knowledge of cooperative retail systems.
  • Must possess and maintain a class 5 driver\xe2\x80\x99s license. The role requires some flexible scheduling and accessibility, including availability for on-call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
