Job Overview
We are a family focused farm seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to assist us in maintaining the productivity and efficiency of our beef cow/calf, feedlot and grain operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and the ability to work with cattle and various types of farm equipment.
Responsibilities
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment to ensure efficient agricultural processes. Assist in planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops Perform heavy lifting as required for various agricultural tasks, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various maintenance tasks around the farm. Maintain accurate records of agricultural activities, including crop yields and equipment usage. Assist with calving, handling & processing calves, herd health, feeding cattle including feedlot cattle.
Experience
Proven experience in agriculture (especially with cattle) Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in operating heavy equipment. Must be physically capable of performing heavy lifting and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid class 5 drivers license (class 1 preferred) Ability to work independently with good communication skills Ability to work longer hours based on season (calving, harvest)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
