The Role
Agriculture Operations Diploma requires a part-time, sessional instructor for the 2025-2026 academic year for the Introduction to Advances in Livestock Farming Course. Areas of work will include course material preparation and instruction for this course. The dates for this sessional appointment would be January 12, 2026-March 27, 2026.

Job Requirements
Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:

  • Candidates must be able to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Ability to build strong relationships across the organization
  • A high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability
  • Knowledge and practical experience in livestock management and low-stress handling
  • Ability to develop and deliver both theoretical and practical components of the curriculum
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends
  • Experience in curriculum development and course material preparation is an asset
  • Relevant industry certifications are considered an asset (e.g., Low-stress handling certifications, livestock transportation etc.)
  • A diploma or degree in an Animal Science related field; a combination of education and extensive industry experience may also be considered
