The Role

Agriculture operations Diploma requires a part-time, sessional instructor for the 2025-2026 academic year for the Agriculture Technology Course. Areas of work will include minor curriculum development, instruction in Agriculture Technologies course, and how it relates to crop production. The dates for this sessional appointment would be January 12, 2026-March 27, 2026.

Job Requirements
Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:


Passion and enthusiasm for post-secondary education Candidates must be able to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles. Proficiency in Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Student focused Strong organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build strong relationships across the organization A high level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability Practical experience in agriculture operations, including crop production Knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices in agriculture Ability to develop and deliver both theoretical and practical components of the curriculum Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends Experience in curriculum development and course material preparation is an asset Relevant industry certifications are considered an asset (e.g., P.Ag, CCA, pesticide applicator license, etc.) A diploma or degree in Agriculture or a related field; a combination of education and extensive industry experience may also be considered
