Who We Are Looking For



Agriculture Field Service and Sales Support - Williams Lake



We are seeking a skilled and motivated Agriculture Field Service and Sales Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in a ticketed trade, preferably in electrical systems with mechanical experience, and be comfortable working with telemetry systems. This role requires an individual who is self-sufficient, possesses excellent critical thinking skills, and can work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting irrigation systems in various agricultural settings, often in remote locations. Including but not limited to: Pivot systems, pump systems, variable frequency drives, and gps systems. Strong customer service skills are essential as you will interact directly with Delta WaterTec's customers to ensure their irrigation systems are functioning optimally.

Job Duties and Responsibilities



Service and Technical



Install agricultural irrigation equipment: pivots, hose reels, centrifugal pumps, and mainline water systems. Perform start-ups, shutdowns, and seasonal servicing of irrigation systems. Troubleshoot system issues (mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic) to determine whether equipment should be repaired or replaced. Remove centrifugal pumps, motors, and other irrigation equipment for off-site repair; reinstall equipment once service is complete. Conduct preventative maintenance checks to extend equipment lifespan. Train customers on safe operation, basic maintenance, and system care. Document service work, equipment handling, and follow-up recommendations. Provide emergency service support during peak irrigation seasons.

Sales Support



Assist the branch manager (as required) with sales calls to help find solutions to customer's irrigation needs. Respond to customer inquiries in person and over the phone with accurate, timely information. Identify upgrade and replacement opportunities during service visits and communicate them to the sales team. Assist with processing service requests and sales orders. Support quote preparation in coordination with sales and design staff. Collaborate with the branch team on inventory, parts, and scheduling. Provide field insights to improve irrigation system layouts and designs. Help the Branch Manager build and maintain strong customer relationships as both a technical resource and trusted advisor.

What You Offer



Journeyman ticket or equivalent electrical experience is preferred. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, ideally with pumps, motors, hydraulics, or irrigation equipment. Previous experience as a service technician, millwright, electrician, or field mechanic preferred. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and customer service abilities. Highly organized with the ability to manage service and sales follow-ups. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel; territory coverage in Caribou region and overnight stays required.

Salary Range $80,000 - $90,000
