We are looking for 2-4 ambitious and hard-working Agricultural Research Technicians to be a part of our team. As Agricultural Research Technicians, you will work closely with our program co-coordinators and will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of the applied research process. This includes field operation(seeding, mowing, spraying, harvesting) field data collection, equipment maintenance, assessing and preparing with extension activities, data entry, seed and yield processing. About Organization: The Battle River Research Group (BRRG) is a producer-led organization conducting leading-edge applied agricultural research and extension in east-central Alberta. Our vision is to make Alberta\xe2\x80\x99s agricultural producers profitable and sustainable through applied research, demonstration and extension in the areas of forages, livestock, annual crops, specialty crops, environmental conservation and regenerative agriculture. Qualification: We encourage students of agriculture and other natural science degree and diploma programs to apply and students in fields other than natural sciences with a strong interest in agriculture will be considered. Ideal candidates will have an interest in agriculture, a strong work ethic, excellent communication, and computer skills. Farming Background, Agriculture Education, Agricultural and machinery experience will be considered an asset. Applicants must hold a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and have a safe driving records. Must be between the ages of 15 and 30 years old per the terms of the Canada Summer Job program.
