Douglas Lake Equipment in Williams Lake is looking for a motivated, career-minded, professional individual to fill the role of Certified Heavy Duty mechanic position. Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform service, repair, diagnostic and preventative maintenance procedures on heavy duty AG and Construction equipment.
• Competent use of related instruments, diagnostic software and computer systems.
• Accurately document on work orders all machine information, actions taken and time.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance check on heavy equipment.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Time will be split between the Shop and Field as required.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Heavy Duty Ticket preferred.
• AG experience an asset.
• Must have knowledge and competency of safe work procedures.
• Must have respect for company policies.
• Must be willing to work as a team member.
• Basic welding skills strongly recommended.
• Committed to customer service, service excellence with good communication skills to work effectively with customers, the service team and other branch personnel.
• Capable of meeting the physical demands of the heavy-duty mechanic trade.
• Must have valid passport for travel to factory training sessions.

Journey-person Red Seal status or 4th year apprentice level or equivalent experience at minimum is required for this role, along with a strong resume.
