Amazing Education provides comprehensive academic support for K-12 students, and we are seeking a passionate and skilled After-School Tutor to build foundational excellence in our elementary school students.

This role is focused on delivering exceptional instruction in Singapore Math and English to students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. This is a key opportunity to empower our young learners and help them build a strong academic future.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver dynamic lessons in Singapore Math and English to small groups of K-6 students. Develop students' skills in Singapore Math and English by applying the CPA method and using high-quality English learning materials. Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback. Foster a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere that motivates students and encourages participation.
Qualifications and Skills:

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience teaching or tutoring elementary students in Math and English is required. Specialized knowledge: Demonstrable experience with Singapore Math and a strong command of the CPA method is essential. Familiarity with academic English materials is expected. Availability: Must be available for at least two days a week, Monday to Friday, from 3:40 PM to 5:40 PM. Location: Ability to reliably commute to our on-site location in Vancouver. Language: Fluency in English is required. Assets: Experience teaching Math and English to students up to Grade 9 is a strong asset. Mandarin language skills are also considered a valuable asset. Classroom Management: Proven ability to manage a classroom and create a positive, focused learning environment.
