Snowbirds Gymnastics Club Afterschool Program Facilitator

Snowbirds Gymnastics Club is seeking a dynamic, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to facilitate our

Afterschool Program starting in January

. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment.

Schedule

Monday to Friday: 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM

PD Days & School Breaks (Easter, Summer, Christmas): 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications

High school graduate Experience working with children Reliable and responsible Good physical health (walking, lifting objects, active participation) CPR & First Aid certified (or willing to obtain) Early Childhood Education (ECE) training (asset) Gymnastics experience (asset)

Key Responsibilities

Program Planning & Implementation

Develop and implement age-appropriate activities Create a balanced schedule including gymnastics, arts and crafts, outdoor activities, and free play Ensure activities promote learning, social development, and physical activity

Supervision & Guidance

Pick up children from school and walk them safely to the gymnastics club Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring safety and well-being Provide guidance and support to children Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and parents

Communication & Collaboration

Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding children's activities and progress.

Administrative Tasks

Maintain accurate attendance and activity records Assist with program logistics and activity setup Keep the afterschool space clean and materials organized

Additional Responsibilities

Organize and run day camps on PD days, half-days, Spring Break, Summer Break and Christmas Break Attend meetings and training sessions as requested by the Head Coach

Salary

Hourly wage based on experience and education
