Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting physiotherapists in delivering high-quality patient care within a hospital setting. This position involves assisting with therapeutic exercises, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients undergoing rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Educate patients on exercises and techniques to promote recovery and mobility. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physiotherapist. Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment sessions and progress notes. Provide support in acute care settings, ensuring patient comfort and safety during therapy sessions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in patient care, particularly in a hospital or clinical setting, is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare staff and understand treatment plans. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated to take initiative when necessary. Physical ability to assist patients with mobility and perform tasks that may require lifting or repositioning individuals. A commitment to providing high-quality care and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
