Brief Overview:
The Metis Nation- Saskatchewan (MN S) is the government that represents Metis citizens in Saskatchewan. For many Metis citizens living in rural, remote and urban areas, accessing necessary medical care can be challenging. The MN-S Medical Travel Assistance Program (MTAP) helps registered Metis citizens requiring medical, cancer or dialysis appointments outside their home communities. The program offers support such as reimbursement of fuel costs, accommodation support and food allowances. The purpose of the program is to serve low-income citizens attending and receiving medical treatment(s). The After-Hours MTAP Support Worker will assist citizens calling to the program after-hours and ensure all questions and inquiries are received in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to calls from MN-S Citizens applying to MN-S essential services after-hours.
Confirm accommodations and respond to inquiries regarding payment if necessary.
Maintain phone line and provide information where applicable.
Maintain files and records in accordance with MN-S protocols and confidentiality.
Effective representation ensuring the appropriate tone and interest is represented in communication with citizens, partners, representatives, and organizations.
Update spreadsheets and provide information where possible.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Student in post-secondary education in administration, business administration and/or equivalent work experience
Experience working with Indigenous and Metis peoples, organizations, and/or governments.
Additional requirements:
Must undergo a Criminal Record Check
Valid Saskatchewan driver's license and access reliable transportation
Must be available to work Monday-Friday 2PM-9PM, Saturday & Sunday 9AM-9PM)
