Job Title:

After School Programs Animator

This position requires the animator to be on-site, in person, to provide direct support to the members. The regular work schedule is between Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, based on program needs.

Brief job Description

Responsible for the overall safety and security of each child within their care while providing a safe and fun environment through games, activities, cooperative play and outings throughout the daily operations of the after school program.

Responsibilities:

Directly responsible for the safety and security of your assigned group of children

Plan, implement, supervise and animate activities for your group of children in person or online

Must participate in all activities and outings with the children

Conflict management and implementation of a positive form of discipline when working with children

Walk a group of children directly from their school to BGC Dawson

Perform other assigned tasks as requested by supervisor or leadership staff

Ability to always interact in a positive and professional manner

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years or older

High School Diploma

Must be dynamic, energetic and enjoy working with children

Must pass a criminal background check

Experience working in a diverse environment

Bilingualism: English/ French

First aid and CPR certification (an asset) or willing to complete a training

Strong organization and activity planning and implementation skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.10-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 25 per week
