Located in Yellowknife, My World is a dynamic and inclusive children's entertainment and learning centre. We provide a safe, engaging, and imaginative environment where children can explore, play, and grow. Our afterschool program is designed to support children's development through creative play, social interaction, and guided activities.

Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Afterschool Play Program Lead to oversee and coordinate our weekday afternoon programming. This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, child-centered environment and is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive space for children to learn and play.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of engaging afterschool activities.

Supervise and support a team of educational assistants and volunteers.

Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children.

Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and team members.

Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make improvements as needed.

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience working with children in a leadership or supervisory role.

Early Childhood Education (ECE) certification or equivalent is preferred.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.

Proof of immunization (TB, Hep B, tetanus and measles vaccination)

A passion for child development and play-based learning.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, approximately 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM (with some flexibility).

Compensation

Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications.
