Description:



We are seeking a dynamic and organized

After School & Co-Curricular Coordinator

to lead our Elementary Afterschool Program. Reporting to the Elementary School Principal, you will oversee co-curricular activities, study hall, and supervised indoor and outdoor programs. You will work closely with staff and families to ensure engaging, age-appropriate experiences that foster creativity, collaboration, and well-being. This role is key to creating a safe, inclusive environment where students can learn, play, and grow beyond the classroom.

Responsibilities:



Develop and coordinate a variety of co-curricular activities (CCA) that reflect students' interests and talents, and feedback from the School community. Recruit, onboard, and support activity instructors; manage the registration process (2 to 3 cycles per year), including invoicing and program evaluation. Design engaging and inclusive activities for students not enrolled in specific CCAs. Support the recruitment process, provide training and daily supervision of afterschool animators, and share feedback on performance with the Elementary School Principal. Manage daily attendance and dismissal after school hours, ensuring student safety and maintaining clear communication with families. Provide active supervision of students during recess, lunchtime, and after-school. Support the Elementary School Administrative Assistant as needed and contribute to school-wide events. Contribute to the implementation of the School's Strategic Plan by supporting initiatives that foster progressive, experiential learning, strengthen our thriving community, and promote sustainability. Increase opportunities for students to build confidence and skills in French, in line with the School's commitment to the French language and culture.

Skills, Experience and Attributes Required:



Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Early Childhood Education, Community Recreation Leadership Training or equivalent. 1-3 years of relevant experience working with elementary-aged children in a school, camp, or youth program setting. Proficiency with Google Workspace. Current CPR/First Aid certification. Bilingualism in English and French.

Nous recherchons une

coordonnateur.trice des activites periscolaires

dynamique et organise.e pour diriger notre programme periscolaire au primaire. Relevant du directeur du primaire, vous superviserez les activites co-curriculaires, l'etude dirigee et les programmes interieurs et exterieurs. En collaboration avec le personnel et les familles, vous offrirez des experiences stimulantes et adaptees a l'age des eleves, favorisant creativite, collaboration et bien-etre. Ce role est essentiel pour creer un environnement securitaire et inclusif ou les eleves peuvent apprendre, jouer et s'epanouir au-dela de la classe.

Responsabilites :



Developper et coordonner des activites qui refletent les interets et talents des eleves ainsi que les retours de la communaute scolaire?; Recruter, integrer et soutenir les responsables d'activites?; gerer le processus d'inscription (2 a 3 cycles par annee), incluant la facturation et l'evaluation des programmes?; Concevoir des activites stimulantes et inclusives pour les eleves ne prenant part a aucune activite specifique?; Appuyer le recrutement, former et superviser les animateurs.trices periscolaires, et partager des retroactions avec le directeur du primaire?; Gerer la presence et la sortie des eleves apres les classes, en assurant leur securite et une communication claire avec les familles?; Assurer la surveillance active des eleves pendant les recreations, l'heure du diner et apres l'ecole?; Soutenir l'adjointe administrative du primaire au besoin et contribuer aux evenements scolaires?; Contribuer au plan strategique en soutenant des initiatives d'apprentissage, de communaute et de durabilite?; Multiplier les occasions permettant aux eleves de developper leur confiance et leurs competences en francais, conformement a l'engagement de l'Ecole envers la langue et la culture francaises.

Competences, experience et formation requises :



DEC en techniques d'education a l'enfance, en loisirs communautaires ou equivalent ; 1 a 3 ans d'experience pertinente aupres d'enfants d'age primaire dans un milieu scolaire, un camp ou un programme jeunesse?; Maitrise de Google Workspace?; Certification en RCR/premiers soins en vigueur?; Bilinguisme en anglais et en francais.
