on Early Dismissal Days, Pro Days, Winter Break, Spring Break and Summer.
Flexibility:
Work afternoons 2-4 days per week. We are currently seeking to hire someone who is flexible with shifts and can cover when other staff members are away or sick. Guaranteed 2 days per week to start.

PROGRAM STAFF QUALIFICATIONS
Must have an up to date qualifying First Aid certification or willingness to obtain (with CPR C)
Minimum 20 hours of training or willingness to obtain Responsible Adult Certificate
Minimum 19 years of age
Must complete a criminal record check
Must submit 3 references letters
Must complete a record of immunization
EXTRA QUALIFICATIONS *not necessary but qualifications we keep an eye out for
Class 5 license with ability and willingness to obtain a Class 4 Unrestricted (increases wage)
Food Safe Certificate (increases wage)
Note:
We will work with you to obtain a class 4 license and reimburse for many additional certificates/licenses attained during your employment
PROGRAM STAFF DUTIES
Help implement our child care program that supports and promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and social development of children
Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest, organizing games and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
Supervise sign-in and sign-out of children, ensuring safe and verified pick-ups
Communicate behaviour, concerns, and progress with parents
Administer first aid when necessary and keep first aid kits stocked and up to date
Record appropriate paperwork and files related to children (e.g. staff communication, non-reportable incident reports, medication administered records)
Ensure supplies are available for planned activities
Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children inside and outside the building, and during out-trips
Maintain centre equipment and assist in building care, including cleaning
Attend staff meetings to discuss program planning as well as the progress and problems of children
Give activity ideas for the monthly calendar
Follow Bridge Kids description of Care Plan - After School Flow Schedule that ensures the proper ratio of children per staff is maintained at all times and how children are being transitioned from one activity to another
With a form of lifeguard training, you would supervise aquatic activities, implement and monitor that everyone follows water rules and respond to emergencies that may occur.
