Role Summary

Therapeutic Campus Base Care - Bowness Campus, employs 2 Team Leaders to primarily manage the after-hours and on-call related responsibilities of Bowness campus, as well as recreational leadership and ongoing support to staff and programs. Reporting to the Program Supervisor or Program Manager; the Team Leader will be responsible for the operational aspects related to After-hours times, for multiple programs on Bowness Campus. The Team Leader will demonstrate due diligence in being exceptional in the delivery of high-quality service including operational management, milieu management, and leadership in Dynamic Risk Assessment and Post Crisis Response and in meeting the requirements of the Health and Safety Management System at Wood's Homes,

Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day / after-hours operations for the unit or program area; Assist manager, supervisors and programs in day-to-day/ after-hours operations as needed, including managing scheduling and sick calls. 24h On Call responsibilities, communications, and documentation, for scheduled dates. Supports front line staff including monitoring and authorizing records of staff hours. Case management responsibilities as per Policy and Procedure guidelines and first level liaison with families, referral services, and communities with the support of a Program Supervisor and Manager. Responsible for regular and consistent oversight, guidance, coaching and feedback for staff, with relay to Supervisor and Manager. Participation in admission processes, and case management meetings, when/if applicable. Reports workplace hazards, unsafe or unhealthy conditions, or incidents (including near misses, injuries, or equipment damage) to their direct supervisor as per the Wood's Homes Health and Safety Management System Facilitates - TCI - Post Crisis Response, and leads or participates in processes related to the completion of Staff Safety Incident Reporting and Formal Debrief(s) that meet the standards of Wood's Homes Health and Safety Management System May be required to supervise, schedule and manage COEs for Casual staff(s) Executes other responsibilities as required and assigned by the Program Manager. Qualifications

Diploma in Social Sciences or related field (degree preferred) A minimum of four (4) years' experience in direct service to children, youth and families. 2+ years of TCBC experience and currently in good standing would be considered. Demonstrated leadership skills. Highly developed theoretical understanding of milieu therapy. Demonstrated critical thinking skills, clinical problem-solving
