POSITION SUMMARY:



Under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Operations, and in collaboration with RN Supervisor and Unit Managers, the After- Hours Manager will facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure frontline staff meet workflow and quality standards. The role will prioritize Clinical Services while remaining responsive to the needs of Support Services and Administration. Furthermore, this role ensures operational continuity by managing the staffing process in the absence of scheduling supports and providing evening supervisory leadership.

The hours of work for this role are 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday to Friday including rotating weekends.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



1. Leadership & Personnel Management



Supervision:

Provide direct leadership to frontline staff and clinical leads, ensuring adherence to job descriptions and high care standards.

HR & Discipline:

Monitor performance, address staff conflicts, and execute disciplinary actions in consultation with HR and Clinical Management.

Development:

Facilitate daily huddles, maintain huddle boards, and deliver staff training as required.

2. Operational Oversight & Resource Management



Logistics:

Ensure all departments are adequately staffed and have access to the necessary supplies and functional equipment.

Scheduling:

Coordinate after-hours staffing concerns to maintain operational continuity.

Workflow Optimization:

Collaborate with Unit Managers to review and update PSW group assignments and inter-departmental service coordination.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance



Auditing:

Perform regular audits to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.

Reporting:

Keep the MCO informed of weekly unit operations and provide recommendations to improve daily resident care.

Regulatory Support:

Conduct and support internal investigations and ensure all critical incident reporting requirements are met.

4. Resident & Family Relations



Conflict Resolution:

Act as a point of contact for family complaints, ensuring thorough investigation, reporting, and follow-through.

Service Coordination:

Monitor programs and services in conjunction with other departments to ensure a seamless and positive resident experience.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:



Minimum of a 3-year degree or 2-year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a relevant program or discipline;

A minimum of 2 years' of experience working in a healthcare environment, preferably in a supervisory capacity;

Working knowledge of HR management principles, collective agreement and policy interpretation and application;

Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA;

Working knowledge of the Residents' Bill of Rights and Compliance Standards as set out by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care;

Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to mentor, coach and build excellent relationships with staff, residents and families;

Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of Point Click Care software an asset;

Bilingualism in English and French an asset;

You have a satisfactory CPIC with vulnerable sector screening;

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Pay: $74,311.00-$90,308.00 per year
