The team is in charge of managing rebalancing activities, for asset classes and currencies, to ensure that the Total Fund exposure is aligned with desired targets.ABOUT YOUR ROLEAs an Advisor/Senior Advisor in the DAACM team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our investment strategies across both public and private asset markets. Your economic expertise will help guide key asset allocation and currency management decisions, ensuring that our investment strategy is aligned both with our desired targets as well as economic and financial trends and forecasts.Your main responsibilities include:Establish the economic and financial scenarios used as inputs in our Capital Market Assumptions (CMAs) and various stress testsDevelop and improve on in-house analytical tools and econometric models key to the analysis of economic conditions and financial marketsActively contribute to the economic research agenda, including the economic assessment of various countries/regions, sectors, and global financial marketsCollaborate closely with other CIO teams and contribute to recommendations to support strategic and dynamic asset allocation, as well as currency hedging decisionsAnswer to requests from the CIO, Board of Directors, and Senior Management, and provide deal-specific macroeconomic assistance to investment teamsStay informed about economic and econometric analysis best practices and perform quality research aimed at identifying opportunities to enhance PSP returnsWHAT YOULL NEEDAdvanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Economics, Finance, or a related fieldMinimum of five (5) years of experience with economic and econometric analysis in the investment or policy-making sectorsStrong understanding of global macroeconomic trends and their impact on financial marketsAdvanced quantitative and data analysis, with proficiency in econometric modeling, estimation, and forecastingAbility to communicate complex economic concepts clearly and concisely to non-specialistsStrong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively within and across different teamsFlexibility to adapt to changing investment conditions and organizational needsProficiency with econometric packages (Eviews, Python, R, etc.), Microsoft Office suite, and financial market databases (Bloomberg, Haver, Datastream, etc.)Bilingualism: English and French (Frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)We offer a tailored employee experience and competitive total rewards and benefits package* designed to attract and retain global diverse talent, reward performance, and reinforce business strategies and priorities.
