Working in collaboration with the BC Cancer talent acquisition team, the Advisor plays a key role in supporting recruitment campaigns in tandem with British Columbia\xe2\x80\x99s . The team is currently developing strategies and materials for both national and international recruitment of cancer care specialists, including radiation therapists, physicians, nurses, and other health and admin professionals. It provides a comprehensive cancer control program for the people of British Columbia by working with community partners to deliver a range of oncology services, including prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment, research, education, supportive care, rehabilitation and palliative care.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do

As part of a growing Talent Acquisition Marketing Services team, the Advisor, Talent Acquisition Marketing reports to the Manager, Employer Brand & Talent Acquisition Marketing, and develops and recommends marketing plans and strategies designed to meet strategic goals and improve recruitment services and practices, that maximize the BC Cancer brand and promotes the organization, as a program within the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) as one of B.C.\xe2\x80\x99s top employers.

Key tasks will include advising Talent Acquisition (TA) team members who support BC Cancer, and providing marketing guidelines in situations requiring interpretation and/or providing additional information to assist in reaching the desired audience and making/processing related decisions. You will support brand and marketing project management to create an inspiring and engaging BC Cancer and PHSA employer brand. Accountabilities for this role include:

  • Leads and drives talent acquisition campaigns designed to drive awareness and attraction of talent on a large and high volume scale; analyzes and interprets results to provide insights.
  • Leverages online technology and branded storytelling; in collaboration with the TA Marketing team, drives overall digital marketing strategy; creates strategy for social media/digital marketing campaigns, aligned with Talent Acquisition objectives.
  • Ensures high functioning and impactful internal and external careers website content. Aligns with corporate and program sites; ensures best practices across all campaigns and UX.
  • Builds and ensures consistent systems to support data tracking and analysis of digital metrics, demographics, conversion, and engagement in line with talent acquisition strategies.
  • In collaboration with the Lead, directs production strategy for marketing digital and traditional material, including video production and photography and working with related vendors delivery
  • Provides leadership, guidance and supervision to TA Marketing Coordinators using effective leadership techniques; and provides marketing training and orientation to team members.
  • Manages vendor working relationships with external vendors (e.g., creative services) and stakeholders to enhance PHSA TA Marketing program development and implementation.
  • Participates in the development of campaign budgets, produces recommendations, monitors expenses, reports on variances, and recommends and implements remedial action.
What you bring

Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources or related field, or an equivalent level of education, training, and experience
  • 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 of experience in creating and driving integrated marketing campaigns.
Skills
  • Strong communicator (oral and written) with ability to build collaborative and trusting relationships with colleagues across the organization.
  • Perform audits; lead and engage stakeholders in digital, brand and creative projects and initiatives.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in current online technologies, SEO, social media platforms, digital marketing, digital advertising, and reporting analytics.
  • Establish and monitor benchmarks that measure and maximize the impact of marketing campaigns.
  • Design and layout experience with Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
  • Experience with project management software tools are an asset, e.g., MS Teams, SmartSheet.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC\'s Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • As a strong asset for consideration, we are looking for our successful candidate to have: Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities of settler colonialism on Indigenous Peoples and familiarity with addressing Indigenous-specific anti-racism, anti-racism and Indigenous Cultural Safety and foundational documents and legislative commitments (The Declaration Act, the Declaration Action Plan, TRC, IPS, Remembering Keegan, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (15 months, with possibility of extension)

Salary Range: $72,445 - $104,139 /year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate\xe2\x80\x99s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
