This role supports the Monitoring & Testing team within Regulatory Compliance Management (2nd Line of Defense). The team conducts independent reviews across the organization to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal standards. Using a risk-based approach, the Advisor helps assess the design and effectiveness of compliance controls and supports the resolution of any identified gaps. This position reports to the AVP RCM Monitoring & Testing.

Responsibilities




Assist with compliance monitoring and testing activities to ensure controls are working effectively and meet regulatory requirements. Lead and support desk reviews / prepare questionnaires to first line compliance on topics assigned. Document findings and ensure work aligns with established testing methodologies. Ensure entries in the RCM System (Resolver) meet RCM standards and provide effective challenge where required to ensure the system is maintained and updated appropriately by stakeholders. Help improve team processes by supporting governance initiatives and maintaining proper documentation and audit trails. Respond to inquiries from business units via the RCM mailbox and system, including follow-ups on action plans and regulatory matters. Track and manage information from business units (e.g., issue logs, training records, self-assessments, responses to testing). Assist in preparing materials for quarterly and annual compliance reporting. Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications




University degree in a related field (e.g., business, law, finance). Minimum 3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or internal audit within a financial institution or a regulator. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, ACAMS) are an asset. Strong communication skills both in English and French.
Ability to identify and communicate risks clearly. Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented. Team player with a high level of integrity. Experience using AI tools in the workplace is a plus.
Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
