We are looking for an Advisor Mobile Equipment Trainer to train and assess mobile equipment and haul truck operators to support organizational needs. The role is based in Labrador City, NL

Reporting to the Superintendent-Training while working in an exciting and unique environment within the Iron Ore Company of Canada, your duties will include:
  • Assisting in the preparation of training and assessment materials.
  • Delivering training programs.
  • Coordinating with human resource teams and external training vendors to schedule training/educational sessions.
  • Recommending and coordinating updates to existing training material for continuous improvement of course content and program delivery techniques.
  • Assessing learning program participants for knowledge, competency, and behaviors learned.
  • Assisting with training related projects, such as training process improvements, cost analysis, and measurements of training effectiveness.
  • Assisting in identifying and prioritizing learning needs of specific employee segments and recommending training solutions for performance related problems.
  • Assisting instructional designers in creating new training programs with support from subject-matter experts.
Please note: Fly-in-fly-out arrangements are not available. Relocation assistance is provided if applicable.

What you\'ll bring
  • Minimum of 5 years of operating experience on equipment
  • Class 5 and class 3 driver\'s licence with (8) traction engine and (9) air brake endorsement
  • Computer literacy in MS Office applications
  • A strong, demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Good communication skills - written and oral, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to effectively interface with others
It will also be beneficial if you have:

The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) is a leading Canadian producer of iron ore concentrate and iron ore pellets that serves customers worldwide. The company operates a mine, a concentrator and a pelletizing plant in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as port facilities in Sept-\xc3\x8eles, Quebec.
