The Financial Reporting & Automation Advisor plays a critical role in driving reporting process optimization, automation, and financial analytics within the Financial Reporting, Accounting and Treasury Group. This role will lead the development and enhancement of financial models, dashboards, MD&A tables, Notes to Financial Statements, and other reporting tools that support internal and external stakeholders. The role is key in transforming manual reporting processes into streamlined, automated solutions--supporting scalability, accuracy, and faster decision-making.


WHAT WILL YOU DO?




Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, including reporting templates, dashboards and financial statements (MD&A, Financial Statements and Notes) as well as other regulatory or internal reports. Drive automation of reporting processes by utilizing tools such as Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot), Power BI, Yardi, or other systems, significantly reducing manual effort. Collaborate with key departments (Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, IT, and Operations) to design and implement reporting solutions aligned with business objectives and accounting requirements. Lead special projects focused on improving reporting frameworks, financial data analysis, and process transformation initiatives. Ensure data integrity, by overseeing accurate mapping, reconciliation, and validation between source systems and reporting outputs. Develop and maintain key financial metrics and financial performance reports, delivering actionable insights that support leadership decision-making. Support the financial close process by preparing timely and accurate reporting packages, including variance analysis and other necessary documentation. Coordinate and support the annual external audit process, by preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries. Document processes, workflows, and system solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing, continuity & process optimization. Upskill the broader team by sharing expertise on reporting tools, automation, and analytical best practices. We are a flexible and proactive team, readily taking on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?




3-5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or financial data analysis. Experience with Yardi Voyager is highly desirable. Advanced proficiency in Excel, with a strong ability to manage large datasets, perform complex analysis, and automate processes. Prior experience in external financial reporting, including MD&A and financial statements. Proven track record in automating reporting processes and developing financial models. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
