Purpose





The Advisor, Contract Management - Outline Agreements (OA), is responsible for managing the procurement of inventory goods for site operations. This includes spend analysis, opportunity assessment, market research, stakeholder engagement, RFP/RFQ execution, negotiations, and OA lifecycle management. The role ensures OA strategies are aligned with regional and global procurement goals to support the overall success of Newmont's mining operations.

Key Responsibilities




Outline Agreement Lifecycle Management and Compliance

Oversee the full lifecycle of site outline agreements. Support Site Supply Chain Leads in implementing goods sourcing strategies and ensure appropriate OAs are established in SAP. Collaborate with procurement and contracts teams to ensure OAs align with strategic category objectives. Negotiate formal contracts for high-value or large-spend OAs, as required. Ensure all site procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and health, safety, and environmental standards. Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier performance and potential legal liabilities. Develop and maintain an annual OA management plan. Track expiry dates and coordinate timely reviews with end users and stakeholders to prevent lapses. Partner with regional and global category management teams to maintain accurate and current OAs. Coordinate with inventory management, procurement, and warehouse teams regarding specification changes for goods covered under OAs. Monitor OA coverage and drive procurement efficiencies across all sites.

Stakeholder and Supplier Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure open communication and timely issue resolution. Negotiate favorable changes to OA terms and conditions as needed. Track supplier performance and support procurement teams in addressing performance issues. Identify opportunities for supplier diversification and include these in the annual OA plan.

Strategic Sourcing and Analysis

Conduct spend analyses to identify sourcing opportunities and optimize OA coverage. Analyze existing OAs to identify price leakages and improvement areas. Perform market research and gather supplier feedback from end users, warehouses, and procurement teams. Develop and implement sourcing strategies, project plans, and award recommendations. Present findings and award recommendations to site and corporate leadership for approval.

RFP, RFQ, and Negotiation Management

Extract goods information from SAP and develop RFP/RFQ packages, including commercial models and goods baskets. Prepare and issue RFP/RFQ packages, manage bidder inquiries, and compile bid analysis sheets. Build consensus on award recommendations and conduct commercial negotiations. Develop negotiation strategies aligned with Newmont's overall supply chain objectives. Present negotiation plans and outcomes to management. Qualifications and Experience




Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field (C.P.M. or C.P.S.M. certification preferred). Strong understanding of procurement processes and OA management within SAP. Experience managing indirect goods categories in the mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial sectors. Proficient in SAP, Ariba, and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams. #####

Based in Vancouver, with flexibility to work in-office or remotely. Out-of-province candidates must support the British Columbia time zone. Fast-paced, team-oriented environment with frequent collaboration across functions and suppliers. Commitment to safety, collaboration, and value delivery across the supply chain. Standard 5x2 schedule (Monday-Friday).


We are now recruiting for the position of Advisor, Contract Management - Outline Agreements (OA) with a competitive annual salary of

CAD 83,400 - CAD 111,180

. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies, with consideration to internal equity. The expected salary range for this role is CAD $ 83,400-111,180. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
