Overview

We are seeking an advanced surf instructor to join our team. They will also be hired as a Social Media Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing our social media strategy to enhance our online presence, engage with our audience, and promote our brand. The ideal candidate will be an advanced surfer, have a minimum of 2 years surf coaching experiennd, have a passion for social media, a keen understanding of current trends, and the ability to educate others about our services.

Responsibilities

Train new instructors, and work as a liason with instructors to upper management Teach beginner and intermediate surf lessons Maintain equipment Ensure safety is upheld and waivers are completed. Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that align with business goals. Create engaging content tailored for various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Skills

Advanced surf level

Minimum 4 years teaching experience, and 2 years of surf instruction

Experience working with kids and adults with disabilities

Knowledge of the local surf breaks in Tofino, and the surf spots in Central America

Knowledge of fareharbor or another online booking platform

Experience with waiver protocol/management

Surf lifesaving skills, ILS water safety course and Standard first aid with CPR-c/AED

Full Driver's license

Excellent communication skills and ability to navigate conflict

Social media experience - post scheduling, editing, premier pro, capcut.

Proven experience in managing social media accounts for brands or organizations.

Familiarity with social media analytics tools to track performance metrics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
