We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings. This role requires advanced nursing skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. We have clinics in Oshawa, Richmond hill and North York.
Duties
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
Administer medications, including IV infusion and injections, while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Provide acute care in various settings, including emergency medicine, urgent care, and hospital medicine.
Manage patients with complex medical conditions, including those requiring dialysis and pain management.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for effective case management and discharge planning.
Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Engage in health coaching and education for patients and families regarding treatment plans and wellness strategies.
Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance patient care practices.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, coding (ICD-9, ICD-10), and relevant healthcare regulations.
Skills
The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in a variety of skills, including but not limited to:
Experience with EMR systems such as Avaros and Oscar Pro
Critical care experience in Level I or II trauma centers
Proficiency in suturing, phlebotomy, venipuncture, and catheterization
Knowledge of geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and behavioral health
Familiarity with telehealth practices and outpatient care
Ability to perform advanced procedures such as spinal taps and cardiac catheterization
Strong understanding of infectious disease care and infection control protocols
Experience administering botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers for esthetic procedures
Competence in managing patients with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs
