Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Professional Practice, the Advanced Practice Nurse Educator (APNE) is an integral member of the interdisciplinary leadership team and demonstrates a set of core competencies fundamental to developing and maintaining the academic practice environment at UHN.
The APNE role will be aligned within Emergency Department (ED) and General Internal Medicine (GIM) practice settings, with a focus on the education pathway for addictions and substance use disorders. The APNE is part of the ED/GIM program leadership teams and Practice-Based Education team within the Collaborative Academic Practice portfolio. The APNE role involves enhancing patient care by applying evidence-based practices, providing clinical consultation, and addressing gaps in practice.
