About the Opportunity
The Advanced Practice Leader (APL) will be part of the Provincial Center for Training, Education, and Learning (PCTEL) and will report to the Provincial Clinical Leader and Manager of Training and Education. They will also work closely with the Lead for the Child and Adolescent Capacity Building Project.
The focus of this position will be twofold. First, the APL will be responsible for providing consultation and leadership with regard to implementing the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) within the Child and Adolescent Teams across NSH. They will be skilled at working within CAPA and have a strong understanding of the principles of lean thinking, capacity and demand planning, systems planning, and change management.
Second, the APL will provide training and consultation in evidence-based assessment, intervention, and management of mood, anxiety, and trauma-related problems in children and adolescents. This will include providing training and consultation in cognitive-behavioral and other evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and their caregivers. The APL will also be involved in working groups and leading or contributing to other MHAP-specific trainings as needed.
The APL will have one day per week (0.2 FTE) for clinical work.
